Cardboard Boat Regatta

Ready, Set… Sink?!
Come cheer (or paddle!) at Stephenville’s Cardboard Boat Regatta – where the captains are brave, the boats are questionable, but the fun is guaranteed! All participants will earn an entry ticket into our grand prize draw of a kayak, paddle board, and/or Nintendo Switch Lite (donated by the BSG Kinsmen). Extra ticket entries can be earned at this event through additional contest categories such as fastest boat, most creative boat, most dramatic sinking, and best team spirit.
July 30th from 5:30 – 6:30 PM Stephenville Aquatic Center
Paddlers must register in advance using our Paperworks form. Limited spaces available.

Basketball Free Throw Contest

Ready to shoot your shot — or at least make grandma proud?
Join us for a Basketball Free-Throw Contest to help us celebrate Stephenville Day! Whether you're a regular shooter or just here for the laughs, this is your chance to show off (or wildly miss) your skills. It’s all about laughs, community spirit, and maybe even a lucky bounce or two.
Ages 8+ (born 2017 or earlier)
Participating gets you a free entry into our grand prize draw (winners get extra entries)
Guaranteed bragging rights (or at least a good story)
Date: July 31st, 2025
Time: 6 – 8:30 PM. Registration + warm-up shots @ 6PM. Competition starts @ 6:30PM.

Mario Kart Multigenerational Tournament

Start your engines, Stephenville!
Join us for a Multigenerational Mario Kart 8 Tournament where grandparents, parents, teens, and kids battle it out for bragging rights and entry tickets for our Stephenville Day grand prizes! 
Date: August 1st
Time: 6-8 PM
No matter your age, if you can drift and dodge a blue shell, you’re in!
Costumes, family rivalries, and epic matches welcome.

You can pay the $10.00 fee and/or fill out a physical copy of the registration form at the Lion’s Club’s Family Fun Day on July 26th from 1-4 PM. You can also complete the online Paperworks registration form and pay the $10.00 fee at the Town Hall from 9AM – 4PM. CASH ONLY!

Paws for a Cause!

"Paws" and smile for the Camera!
Join us for our “Paws for a Cause” event as part of our Stephenville Day activities! Professional Dog Photography available by Donation, thanks to Bakeapple Photography — all proceeds go directly to our local Southwest Coast SPCA! FREE community BBQ available.
Date: August 2nd
Location: Stephenville Dog Park
Time: 5-7PM
By donation (monetary or dry cat food)
Bonus: Everyone who donates gets a chance to win a doggy gift basket, and a ticket entry into the Stephenville Day grand prize draw for a kayak, paddle board, or Nintendo Switch Lite!
Whether your pup is playful, proud, or a little bit goofy, this is a great time to capture their unique look while supporting a great cause.

Wheelie Good Time

Grab your cape and helmet and join the ride!  Our “Wheelie Good Time” event offers obstacle courses made to challenge those on wheels. August 3rd from 1-3PM.
 
Youth & adult obstacle challenge courses are available. This is a free community event featuring a Best Dressed award for our most spirited superhero on wheels. For attempting our obstacle course, participants will receive entry tickets into our Stephenville Day grand prize draw. Extra tickets are available for those who pass our time trials.
 
 
 

Hit the trails with the Bay St. George Mountain Bike Association!

Join the community for a day of riding, connection, and outdoor fun at Stephenville’s Mountain Bike trails (located behind the Dome (about 400 M up Igloo Road on the left). Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, there’s a trail for everyone.
When you explore our trail, you earn an entry ticket into our Stephenville Day grand prize draw. August 3rd from 1-3:00pm
