Bay St. George Folk Art Performance

Bay St. George Folk Arts Council

The Bay St. George Folk Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization formed in March 2007 to promote folk art in the Bay St. George and Port au Port Peninsula areas.

Our monthly Folk Nights provide local artists and musicians with the opportunity to showcase their talents. This popular event takes place on the last Saturday of every month at Emile’s Pub, Days Inn, Stephenville, starting at 9 pm.

Newfoundland traditional music is an important part of our culture. Fiddle, mandolin and accordion sessions facilitate the learning and development of skills, playing these instruments in an informal group setting. For more details, check out our events page.

Interested? Check us out – join our organization. We need everyone – professional musicians, organizers, kitchen players, storytellers, step dancers, actors, artists of all sorts, and those simply interested in promoting our culture and heritage.
